3 out of 5 stars Program good for test prep   April 8, 2004

If all you want is to improve your score slightly or test slightly better, this program is OK. It gives excellent tips to taking the test in the computer-based format, and includes shortcuts and hints to improve your score. The math hints are really good.
There are a few computer glitches, however. Sometimes when you are navigating through a tutorial you may answer a practice question correctly, but the system will tell you that you made an error. I only found that it did this a few times.

Overall, it is good for the student that needs to brush up or reaquaint themselves with the topics covered in the test.

The tutorials in this software were alright. I cannot deny that they did help me a little. The graphics are cheasy and more of what I would expect from a childrens program. The evaluation comments had glitches in them and often gave me advice that did not apply. For instance when I got a 100% in a section it told me not to feel bad just to keep practicing??!! There are only 2 computer adaptive tests, with 4 paper based. The paper based tests had glitches in them that did not score them correctly. Anyway, what use are paper based tests anyway, since you cannot take it on paper now. With only 2 tests that always present the same problems it does not offer much practice.
