Product Description We've tried a lot of utility knives over the years but none have come close to this one in either cutting performance or ease-of-use features. The first thing you'll notice is the substantial, ergonomic feel in your hand - not your typical 'throw-away' utility knife, this one is built to last in rigorous conditions. The most amazing feature is the way the blade extends and retracts automatically: squeeze the soft-grip and the blade extends; flip the perfectly-placed thumb-switch and it retracts. When its time to replace the blade, the old one drops out with a push of a button - squeeze the handle and a new blade is loaded automatically. Comes pre-loaded with 5 self-storing blades; also accepts hook-style linoleum blades.

awsome December 23, 2008 G. Brown (maryland) this is the best utility knife ever. I already had a contractor steal one so this is my second one I will watch this one better.
great December 14, 2008 Jake Smith really cool knife with the easiest blade change ever. push button to eject blade, squeeze trigger and a new blade pops out. also lets you flip and re-insert ejected blade for use of opposite "sharp" end. Is a heavy product, fairly compact, but itf you are looking for a lightweight knife, this is not it. I have two and would buy another. Im a plumber and Abuse my tools all day. this knife will take it!
Broke after 2 uses, highly dissapointed -- October 26, 2008 Jo Woods (NJ) Broke after 2 uses, highly dissapointed -- I loved its functionability, sad that it broke so fast just opening boxes
good April 20, 2008 Jeffrey D. Roswold (seattle wa) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
i like it, but the only problem is if i neeed to clean the inside of it, i have to break the seal of th palm rubber ,and it doesn't go back cuz it is glued, and it feels like it ruins the knife. fix that and il keep buying them, thankyou
Fastest Knife in the West... or East! March 30, 2008 C. MCDERMOTT (Venice, CA USA) Admittedly, I'm not a contractor, so this is way more knife than I think I'll ever need. That doesn't change the fact that this is one seriously impressive piece of equipment!
It's quite large, with an impressive heft that feels good in your hand--almost TOO big, unless a utility knife is central to your occupation: If you only use a knife occasionally, this one may take up too much room in your toolbox. On the other hand, if you go through several knife blades in a day, this is the tool for you.
The blade stays safely retracted until you need it, then a quick squeeze brings it out. The blade is then firmly locked in place until you retract it with the flick of a thumb-button. No flipping, folding, or switching grips is necessary... which means you'll probably be less likely to set it aside, then injure yourself reaching for an already-opened knife.
Better still, changing blades is almost ridiculously easy: Just press a small button near the tip, and pull the old blade right out. A quick squeeze of the handle instantly loads a fresh blade from the knife's internal 5-blade stash.
On the downside, if you want to get full mileage out of your blades, you'll have to flip them over and re-load them to use the other side. Still, if you're carpeting, roofing, installing vinyl flooring, or some other job where a good utility knife is your best friend, I can't think of a better choice.
