Think twice with this Price... May 23, 2008 C. Piper Even with the sale price, I'm not sure about this desk. First of all it is extremely complex and time consuming to put together. Hopefully you can follow the picture only instruction manual and at the end your drawers actually close without hitting the faux wood trim pieces. For the price, this is a cheaply made, yet sturdy, desk. All laminate pieces are easy to puncture if you use the wood pegs and glue as recommended. I punctured the sides with the pegs and the pieces are on back order 3 weeks away. Frankly, I wish I had spent $100 more and gone for real wood. If I ever have to move, this is going in the trash as there is no way it could withstand such treatment...it would kill it. On the upside, it looks nice. On the down side, it's cheaply made and overpriced.
Assembly troubles. November 14, 2007 Ismael Saavedra (Illinois) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought one like this at Staples. It was extremely time comsuming to assemble. Many of the parts were not marked (A, B, C,...) and I had to figure out what parts went together. There were so many hardware components that made the whole process even more difficult. I must admit the desk is really nice. However, I would not buy another RTA desk with so many components again.
