The bar has notches, you just bend it and snap it right off, will fit any drawer, you just need to read the instructions. Not much to go wrong with this product. Even allows you to adjust one side to clear the locking mechanism.

This product claims to fit any size drawer for a desk. However, this is not true, the "adjustable" part is the long bar, which if this bar doesn't fit, then the whole product doesn't fit. This product is misleading, so make sure you have a drawer longer than 20 inches, or this bar will not fit.
