5 out of 5 stars Fits My Needs   November 11, 2008
Michelle Sibiga
This product fits my needs perfectly.

I am able to keep my computer monitor (flat panel, widescreen) on top, and my laptop beneath it. I also keep various things, like books and paperwork on the stand because there is extra room.

The stand also gives my computer monitor the extra lift I really needed so that I don't feel like I am looking down at it on my desk any more, it is at my eye-level now.

I would recommend this product to others if they need to lift their monitor screen a few inches, and if they need some additional storage (space below). I plan on buying one as a Christmas gift for my sister as well.

4 out of 5 stars functional and nice looking . . .after I painted it   November 5, 2008

The item holds my new 22 inch LCD just fine.
It doesn't bounce and shake if knocked, so the monitor is nice and safe.

We bought three and all three came with cheap, sloppy paint jobs. So to match my all black computer I spray painted them and it looks like I bought it that way.

The space under is perfect for my Logitech Wave Keyboard to slid out of the way or a nice place to throw those pads of sticky notes, pens and whatnots.

OVERALL:
We've bought one for all three family members and its been great to gain some desk space and ensure we are more ergonomic by having the monitor at the correct hight for the desk/chair setup. Its the cheapest metal unit I could find and it holds up under the weight just fine.

4 out of 5 stars Nice, with a cheap feel...   October 15, 2008

Works great as a laptop stand. Right now I have my laptop resting on top and an external drive below it. When the drive's not there, I can easily push my keyboard under it so I have a bit of usable space on the desk.

The reason I mentioned it being cheap is, well for two reasons. First off, the end-caps on the metal are mis-matched. One is nice and shiny, the other is dull and doesn't fit in the hole. My other gripe is a paint crack on the right side.

Besides these problems, it does exactly what it's supposed to. I've been using it for a few weeks now and couldn't be more happy.

4 out of 5 stars Nice size, and bendable   September 29, 2008

I bought this stand to support my 15" laptop. What's important is that there is room on the underneath sides for your hand(s) to slide over and quickly grab a mouse/tablet/pen. In other words, there are no front legs to get in your way; just really long feet, FTW. With this stand I can fit my small (Happy Hacking) keyboard right under my laptop, between the feet. Unfortunately, this stand is pretty short, ~3". So hands barely fit on keyboard sitting underneath. However, the metal is just pliable enough that, with all my strength, I was able to bend the legs down ~2". Now I have 5" clearance for my hands, and the laptop (and screen) are at a more comfortable viewing height (with a dry-eraser propping the back to make level). It's also nice that now my unused laptop built-in keyboard can serve as a mini-table for documents or whatever.

This stand is probably strong enough to sit on, and I'm sure it's the cheapest you'll find for this purpose. And with a little man-handling it's adjustable to whatever size you need.

5 out of 5 stars Great stand, but Amazon's photo is inaccurate   June 4, 2008

This is a terrific (and relatively inexpensive) monitor stand, particularly if your desk space is limited; the design allows things to be slid under it. However, Amazon's photo is slightly misleading. The stand is not a silver color (or "pewter" as the item description says); it's a light gray-green.
