I am the first to admit that I really don't know the blues so I can't say if this is good blues or not. All I can say is that it got my toe tapping and head bobbing from the opening notes.
I do know guitar playing and the solo work is smokin' hot. I enjoyed the vocals, and the rhythm section is tight. While I don't think that the song needed the horns or the extra sound effects, fans of Chicago blues will probably appreciate it.
I can't help but think that "The Chief" would be an absolute blast to see live. As our area has an annual Blues Fest, I think that if he came to town, he might actually get me to go to my first one. Great fun!
