Good thing it's free! August 14, 2008 Priscilla A. Arnold (Minneapolis, MN) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Have I heard this same sound, same intro, same chord progression, same keyboard licks, same lyrics, same vocals... over and over... and OVER? The Brits need to stop trying to recreate the Beatles! It's the 21st century... try something new. And Brits singing about California? Give me a break!
...Okay, so I read they are from California... so why the fake accents? Or do these boys just not know how to be American? They certainly don't know how to be original!
I've heard this before August 1, 2008 Julia Cheng 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It's a decent song, but repetitive and unoriginal. There's nothing really special about this song that would make want to listen to it again.
If I wanted to listen to Weezer, then I'd just listen to Weezer... July 26, 2008 watchthelightdie (Arizona) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I agree with the other reviewer, "somebody's a Weezer fan". I hate it when musicians just copy their favorite band instead of using them as an inspiration to make even better art. Lame...
Someone is a fan of Weezer... July 25, 2008 A. Aquino (California, USA) 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
Sounds like someone lost the fight to be the original Weezer. Its ok, but i cant seem to get Beverly Hills by Weezer out of my head when i listen to this song. Seems pretty similar.
Why Isnt This Song Everywhere? July 22, 2008 Parker T. Gibbs (California) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is one of the catchiest songs this listener has ever heard and why it isnt being played as a soundtrack behind the blank, lifeless eyes of the characters on The Hills is beyond me. One of the best songs (the Wedding Present's California has to be up there)to use our glorious states name EVER. Congrats! I am buying this record immediately and nepotism has nothing to do with it!
