The pad feels great and has great bounce, unlike most practice pads that feel like car tires. I have no problem executing complex patterns at any volume level, including intricate pianissimo work.
This is an excellent pad for practicing in apartments. No one will be able to hear you outside your unit, unless they are wearing one of those spy headsets that amplifies sound from far away, and even then they will barely hear it.
