I gave this one star because of it's size. It is too tall and the lid can't pop up if it is under a counter. It is tall and narrow and would be better less tall and fatter. More would fit and the bag would pull up easier. I had a Rubbermaid spring lid and the spring got lost. Rubbermaid is sending me replacement springs. I never through it out. I definitely will give this away.

I definitely made the right choice buying this product. The tall kitchen bags I get fit perfectly. Easy putting in a new bag and easy taking out. The hands free step lid opener is wonderful. I only hope the step opener lasts. I would definitely buy the product again.

Great can while it lasted. But alas...plastic does break. Unfortunately, mine broke at the little step hinges that make the lid open. I liked the overhanging lid that hides the bag, but don't like that it only lasted a year before the step part broke.

I like this trash can. It's roomy and I don't have to empty it to the road trash can as much as I used to. I also like the convenient foot pedal. I would definitely recommend this item.
