This is a great sink stopper and strainer. I was sick and tired of those metal stoppers breaking or not fitting properly, so I looked on Amazon and took a chance on this one because of the excellent reviews. I bought one for me and one for my daughter and we both love them. There's nothing metal to break and they look very pretty sitting in the sink.

The Silver Sinktastic Strainer and Stopper works like a charm. Over the years I have had to replace several stoppers with the same problem. The rubber becomes greasy and no longer plugs the drain properly, thus causing water to leak out. The Sinktastic Strainer is pliable and works by water pressure so there is no more leaking. It is easy to use,plus it is not made of rubber and should last a long long time.

After suffering for the last four years with a (sub)standard basket strainer/sink stopper, I finally looked to Amazon's Home & Garden section for something that would work better than what I've been using. This was the first product suggested, and am I ever grateful. It really does work! No more thinking that the water is draining, only to find that the stopper has closed itself -- AGAIN -- and I have to either stand there holding it open, or set it at an angle, letting gunk run down into the drain along with the water. This has a two-part assembly. The first is the strainer; just drop it in and let it strain out all the stuff you really don't want in your drain. Then there's the little plug that fits two ways: in one position, it stops the drain, letting you wash your dishes in peace; flip it over, and little "feet" hold the stopper up so that the water drains out, letting the strainer catch all the gunk. Sigh, I'm in love!

Could not find a sink stopper to fit my old sink. These stoppers/drains have a universal design and fit my sink. The material is sturdy and seems like it will last for a long time.
