Heavy-Duty Kitchen Composter December 16, 2008 Joann Hamm (Danville, KY USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The NorPro kitchen composter is perfect for kitchen compost. It is stainless steel, has a tight-fitting lid, holds about 1 gallon of kitchen waste. Most importantly, it doesn't emit odors and is easy to clean. I'm totally satisfied!
Ok i Guess... December 9, 2008 Mindy M. Holland 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I own this compost Keeper and thats just what it is. it does NOT compost your scrap it merly holds it until you transport it to the compost pile. the odor elimenator charcole pads were very un-helpful because they did there job so well. you never know when mold is starting to form in there ( Which is regularly). this product is a waste of 60 dollars and could be easily substituted with a bucket.
Beginning Composter September 21, 2008 apiedoo Good construction and excellent odor control (though I agree you should empty it into your compost bin at least once a week, to avoid bad odors when you take off the lid). I took the tip of another user and put used plastic vegetable bags from the grocery store to line the container--which makes it very easy to keep clean.
DO NOT BUY!! September 8, 2008 Baby J (Portland, OR USA) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I used mine for 2 months and it cracked - split! - down the side! I spent way too much for a product that lasted so short of a period of time. I am so disappointed and I can't return it for full price because it's after 30 days...RIDICULOUS! How could this happen from organic debris? Defective or simply junky. Way too much money for such a short life span. Really...wouldn't any airtight container work just as well? And you won't have to buy charcoal inserts all the time!
Beyond expectations September 1, 2008 station 2910 (Philadelphia, PA USA) This product met all my expectations and more. Holds a good deal, filter assists to eliminate odor, eye pleasing and easy to clean. Would buy the same thing again without hesitation. It was the perfect gift for my avid composting fiance.
