1 out of 5 stars Total ripoff   January 5, 2009

I am warning anyone thinking of buying this garbage to just go buy plastic wrap. The seal lasts maybe 5 minutes if your lucky... DON'T buy it...it is JUNK! Junk like this should be banned for sale since it "in my opinion is deceptive advertising". I threw mine away after trying it for 1 week...the seal would break within a blink of your eye. I didn't even try to give it away because it was so BAD I didn't want to burden anyone with having to deal with how bad this product is.....TRASH.
These TV miracles do not exist....I will never buy any junk that seems to good to be true again. TV miracles are an illusion that drains your wallet...

These lids work perfectly. Other reviewers have commented that the lids lose their seal after placing in the refrigerator. This happened to me also. But the next time I pressed down on the lid, I pulled up one corner slightly and released the air, then pressed down the lid. Worked fine after that. I like them so well I even bought my Mom a set for Christmas.

The TV add is designed to bait the viewer into buying.
I have news for those of you that think these don't work
under refrigerator conditions. They do work under these
conditions. The problem is that the plastic has microscopic
holes or larger that enable the lid to hold vacuum for a
short period of time. I have tried placing a lid with food
in the refrigerator for three days and it held the vacuum.
So remember that some of the lids are in good shape and others
have a problem.
They offer 4 smart lidzs for 10.00 plus 7.95 processing and handling. We will send you a second set of lids free for the additional price of 7.95 processing and handling. Any rational person would think that they would get 8 smart lidzs for 25.90
I called them on the phone number they supplied. It was automated and very complicated. I inadvertantly ordered an extra set of 4 smart lidzs which really didn't want.
After about 5 minutes of trying to sell me things I didn't want. They finally gave up and said they would process my order.
I now tried the three large lids and found that they have holes in them.
I called the company and they told me to send the defective lids to them and they will replace them. I am going to do this and hope that they will keep their promise and send me better lids.
After about 2 weeks the order arrived. I received 12 lids and a bill for 46.30. They were careful in not letting me know the final amount of the order.
The following is a copy of the invoice

UPSELL 4 LIDS 7.50
BUY ONE GET ONE 8 LIDS 10.80

NET PRODUCT 17.50
P&H 28,80
TOTAL SHIPMENT 46.30

THE JUMBO LID IS BACK ORDERED

As for the product. I tried to use it on mushrooms placing them in a bowl. I evacuated the air as indicated. The vacuum generated was gone in a few minutes. It appeared that the air was being sucked out of the mushrooms. They simply don't work on mushrooms. I will try other products in the future but as now I don't think that this product works as advertized.

If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

These lids are completely useless as they cannot maintain a seal under low temperatures of a refrigerator.

Do not buy.

1 out of 5 stars Don't bother - these don't work   October 12, 2008

I've had the same experience as the other reviewers. These lids do not hold once they're put into the fridge. I know have 4 useless plastic lids gathering dust in my cabinet.
