The drawn cup roller clutch transmits torque between the shaft and the housing in one direction and allows free overrun in the opposite direction. When transmitting torque either the shaft or the housing can be the input member. The patented design utilizes the same small size as Drawn Cup Needle Roller Bearings. Units operate directly on a hardened shaft and are easily mounted with a light press fit into the housing or may be held in place with Loctite.
