Amazon.com Product Description [Note: This item has been refurbished by the original manufacturer. Please see Product Features for more details.] Tackle soiled carpets and dusty hardwood floors with equal efficiency with this upright vacuum from the United Kingdom- based Dyson. The All Floors vacuum lives up to its name, catering to stairs, delicate rugs, linoleum, and shag carpeting. From Dyson's innovative The Ball line, the vacuum actually rolls on a ball, twisting and turning 360 degrees. Dyson mounted the 10-amp motor within the ball for a low center of gravity and installed a pivoting 13-inch cleaner head to further enhance the vacuum's superior mobility. Crafted in ABS and polycarbonate materials, the vacuum fits under coffee tables and beds with a low profile head. The motorized brush bar benefits from a direct drive to aggressively dislodge embedded debris. For hard floors or delicate carpets, prevent scratching with the push-button brush bar shutdown. The vacuum's Root-8 Cyclone technology powerfully sucks dirt through the spacious debris channel, depositing it in the transparent .71-gallon dustbin. The bin empties at the push of a button, requiring virtually no physical contact with its contents. The permanent, washable HEPA air filter ensures that collected allergens stay contained inside the vacuum while the vacuum releases air with 150 times less bacteria and mold. A built-in telescopic hose system allows the user to tend to stairs and curtains. Provided airflow nozzles assist in retrieving dust from crevices. The vacuum's power cord spans 37 feet, with a 51-foot maximum vacuum reach. A 90-day manufacturer's warranty covers this item. Made in Malaysia, the vacuum measures 13-2/3 by 11-2/5 by 44-1/10 inches and weighs approximately 20 pounds.

Dyson DC-15 - excellent machine August 29, 2008 M. Popovich (CA) I had this unit for a few months now. I am very happy with my reconditioned DC15. Pros: Cleans very well, Gets into corners and under furniture traditional vacs cant reach. Easy to maneuver. Quiet- not half as loud as my old inexpensive Eureka. Direct drive brush. No belts to wear and then replace. Easy to clean canister. Attachments are easy to use and store right on the main unit.
Cons: Probably heavy to lift for women but not for men.
Best Vacuum August 25, 2008 David Bui (Los Angeles, CA USA) I loved this vacuum cleaner. It's the best vacuum I ever own. I was about to rip up the carpet in my house and replace it with wood floor but I changed my mind after I vacuumed the carpet with the DC15. My niece borrowed it to vacuum her apartment and almost didn't give it back. Now she put it on her Christmas wish-list. It just picks up everything. I have parrots in the house and the Dyson just sucks up all the feathers and seedlings they dropped on the carpet. It's the best product ever.
Absolutely AMAZING product! August 22, 2008 R.T. Mones Before I begin my review let me tell you something about myself... I do not write reviews often. Not because I rarely purchase anything, but because I rarely find a product that is either so bad or so incredible that I feel it deserves my time. That being said, the Dyson DC15 is the best product I've purchased this year. It is absolutely amazing! I have had allergies and asthma since I was 8, so I need a clean living environment to be able to live comfortably. I've been borrowing friends' vacuums all year in an attempt to find one that could clean our floors to a level that kept my asthma and allergies at bay. Nothing... I mean NOTHING worked. So I started researching vacuums online. I read reviews and recommendations for every vacuum, from every manufacturer in the world. After one month of debating I decided to go with the factory-reconditioned DC15 here on Amazon. I ordered the vacuum on Tuesday of this week and it got here on Friday (today). I took it out of the box, snapped it together really quickly, and took it for a test run. After one quick run over the carpet in my bedroom I was astounded (and disgusted). This thing picked up so much junk that I couldn't believe it. I was on a rampage. I vacuumed the entire house and was amazed. This vacuum is the best! I know there is a lot of hype due to the Dyson name and the "never loses suction" claims. Well this thing deserves all the hype it gets. I could not ask for a better product. The attachments and hose are easy to use and extremely effective. The dirt bin couldn't be easier to empty. This product is awesome. I highly recommend this to anyone and everyone.
Satisfied Customer August 22, 2008 Christina Rainwater (temecula, ca United States) I am very pleased with my purchase. My mother bought one of these and after using it several times I had to purchase one for my home as well. The vacumm can take a couple uses to get the hang of using but once you get the hang of it this vacumm is worth every penny.
Poor Deal Indeed August 22, 2008 Mark Davies (Miami FL) originally we thought this was a good deal, the first Dyson we got lasted 2 days when the wheel at the back fell off and got sent back, the second (replacement) lasted a week when the little motor that drives the brush head shorted out and failed - its on its way back now and we wait for a refund.
it might be a good vacuum - who knows?
A poor deal indeed.
