Decent/Good thermostat heater October 14, 2008 A. Agha (Northampton, MA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We use this heater in our son's room, and it's on with the door shot. The digital thermostat and current temperature reading is helpful, but there seems to be a loose tolerance between what the temperature you set and what the actual temperature in the room becomes--I've noticed a variance of two-to-three degrees.
I've noticed if I set the temp on the heater to 77, it gets to about 75 in the room.
Man - It's Hot in here January 1, 2008 Gregg Pyka (Bellevue,NE) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought 2 digital Bionaires after Hurricane Katrina and oil prices went up , both units paid for themselves in the first 2 months. Those 2 units had remote controls and could only be set at 5 degree intervals 60 65 70 75 80. I bought this 3rd one All Digital display the folowing year to get rid of my oil filled junk - but this new model does not have the remote control anymore. NO BIG DEAL , I live in a 1 bedroom apartment and I don't use any gas heat. My electric bill never goes over $100 a month due to the Electric bill going down in the winter in Nebraska. Man it's hot in here -lol
Worth It November 29, 2007 Fabiola Adrien (Brooklyn, NY) This is a great product. It keeps the room very warm. The best additional function is that it automatically shuts off if it falls or tips over. I was a little paranoid about having a heater, but this one works well around the room and has safety functions. And it's also very easy to move around and takes very little space.
A decent heater for the price February 5, 2007 Gavin Peters (Cambridge, MA United States) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
I have this heater (from BJs), and it runs well, but it's not exactly silent: in "hi" mode with the thermostat, it sometimes beeps five times in a row, slowly. I have no idea what this means, but these beeps do wake up our son (it's in his room), so I have to say, no "hi" mode for us.
The thermostat isn't exactly accurate, either. To keep a room at 72, I have to set the machine to between 75-78, depending how cold it is outside.
GREAT HEATER! January 11, 2007 Nathan Berreth (SPOKANE VALLEY, WA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
THIS HEATER IS GREAT! IT'S LIGHT WEIGHT, KEEPS THE HEAT AT A EVEN TEMPATURE, AND HAS A STYLISH LOOK TO IT!
