Amazon.com Product Description The Intermatic magnetic trip wireless alarm provides safety, security and convenience. Mounted with double-sided tape to a door or window frame, the alarm sounds a piercing 90 dB siren when the magnetic contact separates. When the code is entered on the on/off switch, the alarm is activated/deactivated. This switch operates on and includes three replaceable 1.5-volt button batteries. This ivory security system comes with a 6-year limited warranty.

Window Alarms August 10, 2008 atlanta's mama (USA) This product, in theory is a wonderful idea. However, the double sided tape fails miserably to hold the two sides of the alarm to the window/door surface. Indoor house temperatures were normal, no severe cold, heat, or humidity. But upon returning home the first day, one alarm had fallen and rung to the point of a dead battery. Within the first week, all four had fallen and were ringing their alarms -some faintly by that time and others at close to full decibal level. Would hot glue or that super tacky stuff the infomercial pushes be the answer?!?
Fell Off Window Within A Week July 28, 2008 M. Sherwood (Dundee, Oregon United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I thought this was a nice, inexpensive window alarm. If someone jimmy opens the windows and slides it up, a pretty loud alarm would sound. Effective enough for what I needed in this application.
The two components stick onto the window with a sticky pad attached to each comonent. I attached these to a plastic double-hung window as well as to a patio door. They stayed attached for less than a week. One falling off in the middle of the night, setting off the alarm. Both units failed. The attached surfaces were quite clean. They should have worked. I
I put these on my brothers windows in a town 175 miles away. Tossed the original display container so I can't return either of the units. Would cost almost as much to send them from Seattle and then onto Amazon. So I am out $11. Cheap is just that, cheap. Don't bother with these.
not bad July 1, 2008 Erika (New York) I purchased this product as a replacement and was disappointed that the alarm fell off the window the very first day. I had to purchase a better double-sided tape and it has been working fine since so expect an extra expense.
good product June 30, 2008 Henry A (Owings, MD) Good product. Fitted it on our outside shed. Deterent to unwelcomed people. However, it doesn't stick well on all surfaces.
These work great for little kids and a great night time reassurance for break-in's May 8, 2008 Chadly (Arlington, WA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We bought these years ago when our son was 2 and we had foster kids. We use them on doors as well as windows. They are great at night when my wife is alone. She feels safer woth these. The batteries have not been replaced for 4 years and they are still working awesome. We turn them on every night. This is alot cheaper than an alarm. We recommend these to everyone.
