This clock is easy to set up. Just read the included instructions. Some negative reviews here could easily be attributable to not reading the instructions. Just read, people!
The clock itself works great. Mine took about four minutes after plugging in to set itself to the atomic clock in Colorado. The time projection is easily readable and unobtrusive. It can also be easily turned on or off with a large switch on the side of the base. I like the alarm. It starts with a slow, steady beep and steadily increases in volume and rapidity until you can ignore it no longer. Snooze works great at eight-minute increments.
I've only been using this clock for a week so I can't speak to its durability, but I'm highly pleased to this point.

I bought this clock for my fiancee as a cool gadget gift. While the alarm is inconsistent and difficult to hear in the morning (compared to a normal alarm clock) the projection functionality and self-setting more than makes up for that.
The clock arrived quickly, and without issue. It'd be nice if they added a note that you have to wait after plugging it in an eventually it'll set itself (as do all atomic clocks).
Overall, we've immensely enjoyed this. In fact, I'm buying one for myself!

i had their 1st gen clock and loved it so when it came time to get another atomic projection clock there was really no other choice :-) the only difference between this and the 1st gen is that this clock now tells you what the indoor temp. is, which is a welcome addition.
there are really only a few minor quibbles that come to mind when considering this clock.
1. if you live outside of the continental united states, the atomic features are absolutely useless (sorry alaska and hawaii, they still haven't thought about you :-/ )
2. the time projection cannot be focused or rotated. the focus isn't really an issue, but to get the time centered on your ceiling you have to turn the entire clock, there is no other adjustment
3. only the time is projected, i've had other clocks from oregon scientific that also cycle the indoor temp. (and date too i think) but this one uses the projector strictly for the time.
4. when only running on battery power, there is no way to keep the projection on or keep the backlight on. this is kind of a pain if there is nowhere to plug in (if you choose to take the clock with you on vacation or camping or whatever) since you'll have to hit the snooze button to check what time it is.
overall, still a great clock that i would easily recommend as long as those 4 issues would never or rarely apply to you.

Love the easy to read numbers projected on the ceiling. Two things I miss, #1. not having the clock face itself backlit all the time, and #2, not being able to adjust the projection angle. All in all, a decent clock though.

Seriously, this is about a million times better than the first projection clock I purchased... and then threw in the trash!
THIS clock actually projects all the time while plugged in, exactly what I was looking for! Who wants to fumble for the button to push and see the time illuminated while you're half asleep? That would defeat the purpose of having an LED projection clock, wouldn't it?
THIS unit actually projects a clear, crisp, and gentle-red-colored time on your ceiling all night long. If you want to know the time, just look for it, but the soft red is gentle on the eyes and won't wake you up or draw your attention to it. And, I can read it without my glasses.
I am an insomniac, and seriously this is the best bedroom clock I've ever owned.
The icing on the cake includes a bonus temperature reading (on the base only), atomic self-setting, and a gentle alarm. You never have to set the time, and it corrects itself after a power outage! The alarm starts very softly in its beeps, then they increase in intensity until you wake up and hit the button. Don't you hate being jolted awake by a blaring and obnoxious alarm that could wake the dead? I do! This one is oh so much better.
My friends all tease me about how when I love something, that the company should pay me for being like a walking commercial for it... This is one of those cases... I can't sing enough praises for this projection clock!
