Product Description MLB 08 THE SHOW is set to provide fans with the most realistic baseball experience to date with innovations such as a more immersive Road to The Show mode, enabling gamers to play both offense and defense from the created player's perspective. Providing players with some additional performance incentives, the MLB franchise introduces the Progressive Batting Performance feature, which will both reward players for superior performance and penalize them for hitting slumps. MLB 08 THE SHOW introduces SCOUT (SportsConnect Online User Tracking), which allows you to set and store your game preferences on the MLB server, and enables the system to look for a Quick Match with opponents that fits similar competitive criteria. Exhibition Mode/Quick Game - Gamers can select their favorite team and compete against the AI for a quick game on the go Historical Greats - Offers Historical Greats, giving them the opportunity to go against the legends of the past Release Point Pitching with Confidence Meter - The ultimate pitcher/batter interface returns Playmaker Fielding- The fielding interface brings the player attributes together with the user's skill level Multi-Branch Fielding - Branch Point Technology goes to a new level as gamers can now take full control of fielders and break out of any animation in the process User Controlled Slides - Players can now control base runners in attempts to advance and/or score MLB Authenticity - Presents fans with finer details and nuances that make the game America's past

Great Game August 28, 2008 Andy (Oak Lawn. IL) Great Graphics! I was able to download CURRENT player roster; A feature I didn't know was available.
Best Baseball Game on the Market. (period) August 28, 2008 Edwin Martinez When I was thinking about buying a baseball game I was confuse on which to choose between MLB 08 The Show and 2K8 and thanks God I choose the Show the game is one mile ahead of the 2k8.
The sound is impressive more even if you are using a Dolby Surround Receiver attached to your PS3, the graphics are top of the line the motion capture players is just like the real thing. The comentators are incredible on the details the cover abput the game and what happening on the league.
In Short words a MUST for all baseball fans.
Childs Play August 19, 2008 Allen D. Hill (Pocatello, Idaho United States) 0 out of 4 found this review helpful
Only played it a few times and hurried to find a sucker to dump it on. It in no way compares to the realism of Major League Baseball 2K8.
Best So far... August 18, 2008 S. G. Wothe (St. Paul, MN) Okay, I won't rehash all of those above pro's and con's. This is simply the best baseball game around today. And hey, if YOU can build a better one- go for it! I will buy it!
I actually only have one question: I loaded music onto my ps3 converted it to mp3 like the instructions said, then made my playlist, and although the songs WILL play during the various menu screens, I believe I have yet to hear any songs play during game time. I do hear the pre-loaded songs play..."sweep the leg" whatever that means. At times I will hear a jumbled noise. Does that have anything to do with the bit rate? Like I stated my music will play during menus, but game time is different...any help would be appreciated!!
Thanks a bunch!!
Best Baseball Game Ever August 13, 2008 J. Perry (Napa, CA) This game has it all. The graphics are phenominal. There is a very in depth franchise and road to the show. It is great how you can fast forward through the games to speed up the play if you are short on time. There are tons of detail in the graphics and game presentations. There are fans going for foul balls, beachballs in the stands, if you let the game sit for a few minutes while pitching you will see players blowing bubbles, checking the wind, umpires talking to players, and much more. I would like to see a homerun trot especially after big game homeruns. It would also be nice to see players storm the feild after a World Series win. Overall the game is the best baseball game I have ever seen and played.
