Should have gotten Orochi/DW5:E June 17, 2008 Brian C. Bernard Jr. (Murfreesboro, TN USA) I love the DW series, and one of my favorite implimentations was the CAW (Create A Warrior) feature, and its just HORRIBLE in Samurai Warriors as opposed to Dynasty Warriors. Also, I found it hard to differentiate the difficulty level of stages, since there wasn't really a set path or starting point, unlike in DW where you know Yellow Turban Rebellion is the beginning and Wu Zhang Plains is the last battle...
But the strategy portion makes up the other stars in the rating for me, but otherwise, I was dissapointed~ ;-;
good June 15, 2008 S. Krueger (a place) ive played DW empires 5 also but this one seems to be more fun cause unlike DW's empires u actually can see what your policies do instead of just using them and wandering y they're even there. Also u can create your own character with also makes this game even more awesome
Not a big fan April 29, 2007 some guy (Iraq) 0 out of 18 found this review helpful
I have never played any games in this series, but I was incredibly disappointed. I think this game is geared to people who like anime. I thought it was going to be strategically challenging, as well as, a very well thought out action plot. It was nothing that I expected and I wish I could get my money back.
Same Formula, But It Works! March 1, 2007 Sal Paradise (Washington, DC) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
Initially I gave this game a lower overall rating due to the fact that there seemed to be very little different from DW Empires. However there are differences. Blaring differences namely, you are able to see how the polices you pick decide what happens and doesn't happen on the battlefield. You get to mirco manage your rise to the Shogunate and rule over Japan. You can pick all the classic characters such as Nobunaga Oda, Kotaro Fuma and of course Hattori Hanzo, you also get to create your own character. The innovation of the Formation option Goose, Ring, Arrow, Serpent, Wheel, to give your general and armies an advantage (or disadvantage) on the battlefield. Overall this game is a must have for Koei fans.
