I like this clock b.c it's not too loud. Our previous alarm clock woke up every one in the house, especially the baby. We wake up pretty easy so we didn't need the crazy loud alarm. I love the size of the numbers and that you can just set the alarm for the week. Set up was very easy and even setting the time a few minutes early so we trick ourselves a little in the morning was easy to do.

The Emerson is the best clock radio I have ever owned. It has extra large numbers that make them easy to see, and it is a very easy clock to program. However, the very best feature is the "Wave" which totally turns off the display and turns it back on with the wave of an arm or movement in front of the clock. This is very good for me as I don't like a lot of light next to the bed when I am trying to sleep. I can't think of a clock I have ever liked as well.

I needed a clock that would still wake us up after the power goes out in the middle of the night. I ask some friends, and they recommemded the smartset clocks. I bought one, and it is exactly what I need. And the 2 alarms works great for me. I have alarm 1 set for week days, and alarm 2 set for a later time on week ends. No more forgetting to set the weekday alarm back! I love it, and I think you will too.

I purchased two of these clocks - one for me and one for my husbands. His never worked (no radio), but mine seemed okay. However I've not had it a full year yet, and mine just went completely dead - kaput a few days ago.
I'm very very disappointed.
