4 out of 5 stars useful tool   June 30, 2008
charlotte 240 (NYC, NY)
I read one of the other reviews on here, it said: "I can't believe Nikon would put this product out"

for one, the thing is $6, what do you expect? solid gold?

second, the tool works fine for what it is supposed to do. I bought another one to just keep in my glove box in the car. People will complain about any little thing it seems...

Having a clean lens is important, especially in these days of digital cameras. I have a Canon G9 camera. The lens closure on this camera is just a flimsy thin plastic, spring-loaded door over the lens. If you poke it with your finger, you can open and part this lens cover way too easily...

If you try to put this camera in your pocket, you might move those doors off the lens and touch the glass. Then you will be lucky to have this $6 tool to clean it off...

It is interesting how a product so inexpensive can meet its purpose so nicely. Not a disappointment in any way.

1 out of 5 stars Brush only   June 27, 2008

The tip for cleaning lens will not last long while the brush is convenient for removing dust and other fine particles. Also good for mirror system. Just don't count on the brush holding up, purchase a micro cloth and air blower. (I purchased a nasal aspirator and works well. Also much cheaper then a camera bulb).

5 out of 5 stars The cleaning pen   June 21, 2008

The lens cleaning pen is compact and easily fits in almost any gadget bag and does the trick in removing dust and smudges.

5 out of 5 stars Very Handy   June 18, 2008

I carry this all the time. Too often I've juggled something and accidentally put a fingerprint on a lens. This product is great for those times and I feel safe that I won't damage or scratch a lens in any way when cleaning.
