4 out of 5 stars FSX CONTROLLER with VISTA   December 25, 2008
In the clouds "Bob" (Scranton Pa. U.S.A.)
Wore out the first one flying about 20,000 miles in about 1 1/2 yrs. From Flight Sim 98 to WWII Combat Flt Sim, it worked beautifully. Very satisfied with the control and bought another new one to fly the Flt Sim X. For the price, its a good buy and satisfies all my needs.

5 out of 5 stars Best joystick for the money   December 7, 2008

im just about to order my 2nd one, had my first one for 4 years and the hi hat is just starting to go out. This is a quality product, ive never used the software that came with it, no need to. Plug in and fly. This joystick rocks!

4 out of 5 stars One of the best!   November 3, 2008

I have had this joy stick for about 3 years now I think it was. A very very good price for what it does. I gave it a 4 only because it doesn't have forced feedback.

As a matter of fact I'm looking for a joystick with forced feedback now and I think I'll stick with a Logitech joystick. I Have NEVER had a problem with ANY Logitech product.

I personally think this one of the best joysticks. But it does have one problem people should be aware of:

After 1-3 years it will completly go haywire, it loses its alignment. I know this has happened to many people, but it is definitly worth buying.

I will be buying it again, because it has the best deals :D

5 out of 5 stars Great Joystick, Great Price!   October 31, 2008

A fantastic joystick from a reputable manufacturer. Don't be fooled by the low price, this is a high-quality fully-functioned joystick!

PROS
>LOTS OF BUTTONS. Many people complained that there are not enough buttons. This is simply not true. There are 12 distinct buttons, in addition to a 4-directional "POV" button nub on the top which basically adds 4 more buttons (or up to 8 more buttons if you use the diagonal directions). In addition to the usual x-y axes, there is the "Twist" axis, which is useful in space sims for spinning your vehicle (the Roll axis). And of course, there's a throttle.
>SOFTWARE. Logitech software (included or download from website) is great for games that don't provide full joystick support (like Dark Horizon). You can remap any keys/key-combinations to any of the buttons or axes on the joystick.
>WELL-PLACED BUTTONS. All the crucial buttons are extremely well-placed and feel very natural to touch.

CONS
>STIFF. Out of the box, the basic x-y axes are very stiff and you meet a lot of resistance while trying to move the stick. This could be a good thing for some people. I'm sure over time the springs will wear out and it will be easier to move the stick.
>HEAVY. Compared to my last joystick (which was not nearly as good as this one), this Logitech is pretty heavy.
