3 out of 5 stars Heavy duty constuction that needs some operation improvements   November 5, 2007

When I received this product I was very impressed with its solid structure. It really is heavy duty. I did, however, find some problems on my first assignment while shooting some wedding video. The panning mechanisms are not as smooth as you would find with more professional tripods. There is some play when panning up and down. I've tried looking for an adjustment to minimize the play but cannot find it. Smooth panning is very important in videography. If it were not for this I would have given it 5 stars.
