Product Description When you loved the one who was killing you, it left you no options. How could you run, how could you fight, when doing so would hurt that beloved one? If your life was all you had to give, how could you not give it? If it was someone you truly loved?
To be irrevocably in love with a vampire is both fantasy and nightmare woven into a dangerously heightened reality for Bella Swan. Pulled in one direction by her intense passion for Edward Cullen, and in another by her profound connection to werewolf Jacob Black, a tumultuous year of temptation, loss, and strife have led her to the ultimate turning point. Her imminent choice to either join the dark but seductive world of immortals or to pursue a fully human life has become the thread from which the fates of two tribes hangs.
Now that Bella has made her decision, a startling chain of unprecedented events is about to unfold with potentially devastating, and unfathomable, consequences. Just when the frayed strands of Bella's life-first discovered in Twilight, then scattered and torn in New Moon and Eclipse-seem ready to heal and knit together, could they be destroyed... forever?
The astonishing, breathlessly anticipated conclusion to the Twilight Saga, Breaking Dawn illuminates the secrets and mysteries of this spellbinding romantic epic that has entranced millions.

Ties up everything September 6, 2008 Lauren Clack (CA United States) I have heard a lot of bad reviews for the latest book in this series. I, however, find it was the best of them all.
I think the problem with people is that by the end of book three, most people already have it planned in their head how they want it to end. I feel this is the wrong tactic when anticipating for the fourth. Also, because most people started the series before the fourth book came out, I think people got this false sense of input, like their opinion was going to matter on how this last book came out.
I believe I enjoyed this book so much because I never tried to guess how it was going to end, mostly becuase Meyers said this was the ending it was always meant to have (she knew how it was going to end since the beginning of the book's idea back in 2001). So I knew that anticipating the end is totally the wrong way to go about it and by the end of book three you just have to let the story of book four come to you like Bella's experiencing it of the first time.
Now, about the book, I think it's the best ending because it ties up everything. Everything I was ever wondering about got answered. I love where she took Bella's character and how all the tension you get in book three and beginning in book two gets completely eased away since everything seems to fit and feels like it was always meant to be.
I think Meyers is a very good read and for people of all ages even though the storyline is from a teenager's perspective; her style of writing keeps you hooked.
Some readers just idolized the saga... September 6, 2008 Maudeline 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The twilight saga was a teen book; the fact is easy to proof since it's for young adults. The story itself is like reading this contemporary fairy tale. Girl meets boy... boy turns out to be vampire and they have a few problems. It's as easy as it is. The books are colored with immaturity --most of it coming from Bella and Jacob-- but if readers took their time to actually analyze the books you'll see they always have a fairy tale ending. Even Eclipse since it leads to Breaking Dawn. And so, with this fact established, I do not understand what readers expected in Breaking Dawn? I read most of the reviews before I started reading. I read the flames and the Commendations. Some sounded completely empty and others sounded like tamtrums to me; I don't let myself be biased by reviews though the spoilers were leaving me a bad taste, and I was already thinking I may have wasted my money with this book. I have to say it was totally worth it! The writing style is the same as with the other three previous books. What people are complaining about is totally absurd, when you think about Bella's previous adventures when she was human and she still survived, the events unraveled in Breaking Dawn are similar and believable. It is still painted as a fairy tale; moreover, you still get your share of angst, romance and action. There is also some play for power, envy, pride, and lust included; everything you see in reality. So I do not understand all the flames and complains where do they come from? I found the book enjoyable and fast paced as the others. I highly recommend it to people who read to enjoy a good time but who have their feet on the ground. This is fiction! In real life if you were to find a "vampire", (not likely!) he wont declare his love for you but suck you dry.

Okay, if you are a Twilight fan you should read this. However, I think that she completely ruined the series. It wasn't completely terrible, but the book just doesn't fit in with the rest of the series. She spent the last three books on Bella and Edwards cute teenage romance and then suddenly this book is supposed to end the series and what do you read??? Well I won't spoil it for you but it just wasn't that great. I'm still a big fan of Stephenie Meyer and the Twilight Saga but she really screwed up with this one.
Great Book September 6, 2008 Karry W. Foster (Albany, NY) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Anyone who is familiar with the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer is in for a rare treat. A word of caution, this book will bring you to tears at some points. It is the final book of the series from the viewpoint of Bella and it is filled with action, adventure, love, and drama. If you're not familiar with the series you should start with the book "Twilight" and work your way up to "Breaking Dawn". It will be a literary journey well worth taking. Once you have finished the series you should check out Meyer's other novel, "The Host". It is every bit as packed full of drama, love, adventure, and action as "Breaking Dawn".
Breaking Dawn, The Twilight Saga, Book 4 September 6, 2008 J. Becker 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
If I had to pick one statement that Stephenie Meyes was trying to convey in this last book of the Twilight series, I'd say that she was trying to suggest that our imaginations are nearly limitless; therefore, our potential is also infinite. Her offbeat characters have exponentially heightened senses and immeasurable talents, some gifts that they weren't even aware they had, until they were challenged in such a way that failure could not be an option. Even though her characters happened to be vampires and werewolves, I believe, and I think that the author believes that mere humans possess these same possibilities.
I understand this series isn't for everybody. If you cannot remember ever having spontaneous unexplainable feelings for somebody of the opposite sex, then you'll probably hate, Twilight. If you've never had your heart broken, you won't get, New Moon. If you've never experienced or you don't remember the excitement of truly falling in love for the first time, you won't make it to the end of, Eclipse. Lastly, if you were not transcended to another place when reading such books as, A Wrinkle in Time, then you are probably lacking the imagination required to appreciate, Breaking Dawn.
After reading some of the previous reviews, I was half expecting to be disappointed in this latest and last addition to the Twilight series. Color me surprised when after I finished, I thought that this was probably the darkest and the most bizarre of the four books, but most likely my favorite. Not to mention that it was a brilliantly cool way to connect with a few of the favorite people in my life - my kids.
I applaud Stephenie Meyers for this fun, fun, fun, series.
